STEG Technological Platform · Hong Kong
Energy studies for large energy consumers, and the technology to act on them.
We analyse how your site buys, uses and depends on electricity, measure the quality of your supply, and design the business model to improve it: battery storage, power conversion and a local EMS developed with leading Asian manufacturers, renewables and better supply contracts.
The problem we solve
A battery is only as good as its PCS and its EMS
Most large consumers know they could manage energy better, but not how. And many do not trust battery manufacturers, with reason: a battery must work in step with the power conversion system and the energy management system, and when those come from different suppliers, nobody coordinates the whole. As a technology integration platform, we make them work together, while each manufacturer keeps the guarantees for its own equipment.
- Battery, PCS and EMS specified and integrated as one system
- Independent check of the manufacturer, its factory and its warranties
- Integration tests before delivery and on site
- Performance and availability guarantees structured with the manufacturers
- EMS management and energy reports after commissioning, so the system keeps delivering
The energy study
From the electricity bill to a business case
One study, one clear answer: where your energy cost and risk come from, and which investment pays back.
Consumption and load profile
Interval data, peaks, demand charges and how the process uses power through the day and the year.
Power quality
Measurement of reactive power, harmonics, voltage sags and flicker, and what they cost in losses, penalties and downtime.
Supply and grid connection
Contract, tariff and contracted capacity, and how much headroom the connection really has.
Solutions
Battery storage, PCS, local EMS, power-factor correction, on-site solar and flexibility, sized to the site.
Business model
CAPEX, savings, flexibility revenues and payback, with the options for owning or contracting the solution.
Roadmap
A phased plan the management can approve, with the technology and partners to implement it.
Large energy consumers
Energy business models that also improve power quality
The best projects do more than cut the bill. Storage and control that also correct power quality protect equipment, reduce stoppages and make the plant more competitive.
- Peak shaving and demand-charge reduction
- Reactive power and harmonics correction
- Ride-through for voltage sags
- Flexibility revenues where the market allows them
- Resilience for critical processes
Developed with manufacturers
BESS + PCS + local EMS, developed and integrated together
We develop and integrate the solution jointly with the manufacturer: battery storage, power conversion and a local EMS designed as one product for your site, not assembled from separate catalogues.
- Battery systems and PCS matched and tested together
- Local EMS adapted to the site, the market rules and the grid code
- One point of coordination for the customer
- Technology-neutral: the study decides the equipment
